We are a non-profit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of PA and recognized as a 501(c)3 charitable organization by the IRS.
We are a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club formed to promote interaction and support in the law enforcement community and support and improve our communities through projects and activities as a group. We hope you find this site informative and useful.
GKMC Acquires Trailer to Help with events
Thanks to a generous grant from the UPS Grant Foundation the Guardian Knights have been able to obtain a 7x12 EZ-Haul trailer along with all necessary supplies and equipment. The trailer will be utilized to carry and store supplies for various events as well as a safety follow vehicle for rides.
The trailer is large enough to haul 2 full dress bikes if necessary and is equipped with wheel chocks and tie downs to do so safely.
Shown here in is plain "just purchased" state, plans include a full graphics wrap that will make it stand out where ever it goes.
This very generous grant is a testiment to the hard work and dedication of the members of the Guardian Knights MC and their ongoing mission to "foster a spirit of camaraderie among members of the law enforcement community through a common interest in motorcycling, provide a safe environment to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in blue, promote safety and education and a positive image of our profession and the motorcycling community, and sponsor and support social, educational and charitable programs in our communities".
Watch for this new addition at area events in the very near future.
Saturday Aug 12, 2016 The 10th Annual Operation SOS Ride
Operation SOS Ride Sat. August 12, 2017
On August 20, 2008 a group of like minded riders started an annual ride to raise money to provide packages from home to deployed PA National Guard and Reserve Troops. Our first shipment contained about 2 dozen packages. Since that time the Guardian Knights have raised tens of thousands of dollars and shipped thousands of packages to local soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen in harms way. 2017 will mark our 10th annual event. We invite you to join us for this milestone event. Enjoy a great ride as well as some good food and fun as we support our troops.
We will hold our 10th Annual Operation SOS Ride on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Registration/Check-in will begin at 8 AM at Susquehanna Valley Harley-Davidson. The Ride leaves promptly at 10 AM. Come out and support Operation SOS as we support deployed Pa National Guard and Reserve troops. All proceeds benefit Operation SOS. The Cost of this year's event will be $25 - bike/rider and $15 - passenger Click Here for online registration!
Riders will be treated to a pancake breakfast again this year, courtesy of the Black Sheep HRFC, from 8 until 9:30. At 10 am we will ride a scenic route, ending back at Susquehanna Valley Harley-Davidson for our post ride celebration (ride length about 80 miles). Upon Return to SVHD enjoy lunch and music TBA.
There will also be raffle and door prizes throughout the afternoon. Come out and spend the day and show your support for our troops!
Pre-Registration for the ride is encouraged, but not required. By pre-registering, you enable us to better anticipate the food, traffic control and other needs.
Operation SOS has been able to make life better for hundreds of our PA National Guard and Reserve troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Tthis is our primary funding vehicle for the project. Even if you cannot participate with us on August 13, please consider making donation to the cause. These citizen soldiers leave their jobs, families and friends when called on, to put themselves in harms way. The least the rest of us can do is make sure that they know we have not forgotten and appreciate them in some tangible way. ALL funds donated and raised go directly to supporting these troops. The costs of organizing the event are covered by the Guardian Knights.
The Guardian Knights and other supporters met to package and ship care packages filled with cookies and other homemade treats as well as toiletries and hygiene items. This was by far our largest single shipment to date. 327 boxes went out to PA National Guard soldiers deployed to Afghanistan and other places in the middle east. We are already starting to receive feedback from some recipients of packages and they are of course a big hit. Operation SOS (Support Our Soldiers) is an ongoing project of the GKMC, begun to specifically support PANG soldiers who are deployed overseas. It would be impossible to continue this program without the support of the community and one of our sponsors Susquehanna Valley Harley-Davidson. This year's Operation SOS Ride/Event will be held on Saturday 8/8/2015. Please set the date aside and plan to come out and help us continue to support our local troops while they are in harm's way.
Here are some of the messages that we have received so far regarding this shipment.

Operation SOS The Guardian Knights MC has mounted a campaign to provide needed/wanted items to our PA troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Named Operation SOS (support our soldiers), the Campaign kicked off in 2008 and includes collecting donations at various local events throughout the riding season and culminating in our Operation SOS ride in August of each year. You can view photos/videos of our past rides on our Gallery page. Operation SOS has been able to provide support to hundreds of PA National Guard and Reserve Troops over the past several years
To date nearly $16,000 has been raised and spent to assist in this cause. We are currently servicing over 100 individual soldiers and marines and are looking forward to continuing to do so for as long as necessary.
All proceeds are used to purchase and ship requested items and letters to our troops on the ground. Our mission is to provide a touch of home to these home-town troops while they are away from us and their families. Operation SOS is an ongoing project of the Guardian Knights MC and will continue as long as there is community support and PA Troops in harms way.
Check out the video of some of the SOS packages being distributed in Iraq. This is what it's really all about!
